Day 4

Today started me 9 days off from work. I going to let you know that having this many days away from my daily routine, this early in “the cleanse” could just be the kiss of death. I have found, as I’m sure many of you know routine and habit is everything. The more things stay the same in your daily routine the better you will be in changing long standing habits and addictions. So this morning I woke up at 7:45. The first thing I did was take my ProBiotic Restore Ultra™ and Spark®.
I remembered that I was supposed to be a hike with the Boy Scouts that I help at 8:30am. I quickly prepped my son and myself and we fled the house toward the great outdoors.

The scouts were planning on hiking from Indian Henry Camp Ground, which is about 23 miles up the Clackamas River from Estacada Oregon, to Fish Creek Campground. Before we stated I decided to wear my backpacking pack that weighed about 40 lbs to get a better work out and prep form ruck marches with the National Guard. Lliam and I didn’t have time to eat breakfast before speeding up river but we did have a lunch and some snacks. My ham sandwich became breakfast as we hiked. One plus was that day 4 started a few days without the Fiber Drink. I snacked on BIGS Buffalo Wings Sunflower Seeds® to keep my appetite in check and it works pretty well for me.
As we arrived at Pup Falls which is about half way on the hike I opened a Double Chocolate AdvoBar Snack™. I only ate about 1/3 because I shared it with some friends. The Hike took about 4 hours and 15 minutes. We thought that the trail was about 7.5 miles another hiker clocked it on his GPS and said that it was more like 10 miles. Either way is was fun and challenging. I was very proud of my son Lliam. He was our pacesetter and out hiked some of the scouts that were 4 and 5 years older. On the way home I ate a nectarine and polished off my 50 oz Camelbak.
Upon returning home and I made some bad food choices. I ate 3 MRE entrees. Mexican Style Rice, Mexican style Macaroni and Cheese, and Pesto Chicken. The Pesto Chicken while full of sodium would have been fine by itself but all three, not good. I have found that one bad decision breeds more bad decisions. Lliam and I together ate 3 bowls of Popcorn, and I had 2 more nectarines and 2 large Jamba Juice® style smoothies later that night to end the day. Like I said at the beginning routine is so important. If you are going to be outside of your normal routine you have to be so strict. I think my biggest Fault of the day was the popcorn. I just ate too much, and I didn’t feel good physically or emotionally.
