The flow of my days is abnormal to put it mildly. Beings that I work grave yard shifts my schedule is inverted from the general population. So I start my new day around 7 pm most days. That is about the time I drank my Mandarin Orange flavored Spark® today.
The flavor was nice, like Tang, but make sure to thoroughly mix the powder into the water. At the end of the glass a small piece of un-dissolved Spark® assaulted my taste buds and like most citrus drinks with high concentration levels it was bitter. While driving up to work I chewed on some BIGS Sizzlin’ Bacon flavored sunflower seeds as is my custom.
Breakfast if that is what you want to call my first meal of the day at around 1:00 am consisted of my Advocare™ Chocolate Meal Replacement Shake. Half way through my shake I had a short lived headache. I’m not sure if that is due to the shake or the lack of sleep yesterday. I am inclined to think it is the later. Like I said yesterday these shakes are like some plants you can’t over water them or the flavor just isn’t there. They also take care in mixing as improper mixing will result in globing and a chocolate pudding like consistency, whereas if mixed properly, the texture is smooth and silky.
After finishing my Shake I mixed my Citrus Flavored Fiber Drink. Yesterday’s post I mentioned the pitfalls of drinking this to slowly, and that one of them is not the taste. Let me apologize to you. I was wrong. Upon drink this concoction for the second time I can safely say it is repugnant. Drink it as fast as possible that won’t make you sick. The only thing that made it better today was that I didn’t let it congeal.
I also took a one Catalyst™ supplement pill with this meal. I have decided to take them throughout the day to hopefully keep the effects going.
I didn’t work out at work due to the demands on my time for other tasks. I had a small snack of more sunflower seeds and another Spark® and Catalyst™ around 4 am. I fully intended to go running when I got home but the sleep monster got the better of me and I for went my running to rest. I figured after multiple days with lack of sleep it would probably be more beneficial to sleep and let my body recover a little more. However before strapping the mattress to my back, like yesterday, I ate a 4 egg omelet with orange bell peppers, onions and cherry tomatoes.
If you currently eat full sized tomatoes in you omelets switch to SunSugar cherry tomatoes. They are the orange cherry tomatoes and that omelet changed me for life. It had so much more flavor.
When I woke up from my slumber of recovery I felt like a bear waking up from hibernation. I wanted food and lots of it, but from past experience I know that if I eat right before working out my workout suffers. So I asked my little running bud (my daughter Etta) if she wanted to go running. Her answer was an emphatic “YES!” to my surprise almost all of my kids also wanted to go running, so I said “Tyra get ready were going on a family run.” We went to the High school Track where after the first lap we proceeded to engage in various levels of child wrangling and motivation.
In fact on the return home I had to carry my youngest daughter fireman style while jogging. On a small side note I would like to give a quick plug to my running app. It’s called Zombies, Run! I discovered this little gem over a year ago and it helped my enjoy running. If you’re anything like me you hate running but enjoy a good story. It helps me forget that I am doing something that I think is boring, most of the time, and allows project myself into a story.
Tuna pita with jalapeno, and pepperoncini pepper with mustard hold the mayo was my dinner but for a snack after my sons football practice I had 1 ½ cups of the SunSugar tomatoes again. I love those things. As I reflect on my day the only thing that I look back on without satisfaction is that while I created my master piece of an omelet I saw and ate without thinking a small cookie that was on the kitchen counter.
