Day 1 Cleanse Phase (Plan Needed)

Day 1

So today I start. Planning is everything, and I have to say, not always a strength of mine. So, when I had 10 minutes before I had to get to work tonight my wife and I, knowing that planning is important to success, decided that we should probably package each days worth of supplements in individual baggies for ease of use. I had already consumed my strawberry mango AdvoCare Spark® so that didn't need to go in my baggy for tonight, but I did need a Meal Replacement Shake , Herbal Cleanse Fiber Drink, Catalyst™ Supplement, to take before my workout, OmegaPlex® supplement ,  and Herbal  Cleanse Caplets. Now I wasn't going to use all these different products while at work but I wanted to have them ready and in a place where I would remember to take them so they came with me. We also put the first five days together at the same time.  I had also tried an AdvoCare Slam® this evening after I had a Spark®. DON’T DO THAT! These Products don’t make you jittery but I was so focused and awake after just 5 minutes I felt like I could lift a truck and then burn through steel with my eyes like Superman. Maybe you like that and if you do, by all means go ahead, but as for me, I do not.

While on break at work my workout consisted of 5 sets of 38 sit-ups, using the 200 sit-ups app, 5 sets of 5 pull-ups, 2 sets of 38 push-ups and 3 sets of 20 push-ups using the 100 push-ups app and 3 sets of bar-dips using the 150 dips app. In between this circuit of exercises I hopped on the stationary bike for 4 minutes. I recommend this so that your body has a little time to recover and move oxygen to your muscles to prevent muscle failure and strain. About 20 minutes before my workout I took my Catalyst™ capsules. These supplements are designed to help your body retain muscle while you are going through diet or weight loss.

They also help in preserving energy while in the cleanse phase of the 24 Day Challenge as your diet is very controlled throughout this phase. Since I have just started I can’t really give you a true opinion. When I returned to my office I checked my Schedule and noticed that the Fiber Drink was next. I had been told to drink it fast because it tastes gross. I mixed it up and took a long drink and found that my taste buds don't think it's so bad, not great, but definitely not the worst drink I've ever had. Since I didn't find it repulsing I just sipped on it. DON’T DO THAT! If the fiber sits for too long it will swell and congeal, then the texture becomes unbearable. I also drank three, 20 ounce bottles of water.

Before returning home the scale read 217 lbs. Breakfast consisted of 4 to 6 oz. of protein, 1 cup of vegetables, and 2 servings of carbs. I accomplished this by making a 4 egg omelet with 1 diced tomato, 1/3 cup of onion, and 1/3 cup of green pepper. I also toasted 2 pieces of spelt bread from Dave’s Killer Bread Company. The meal tasted excellent and filling.

Unfortunately my sleep wasn’t very restful. Before I fell asleep at 11:30 am I took my Herbal Cleanse caplets. Later I woke up at 4:30 pm and went Jogging with my daughter. We finished 2.5 miles in 25 minutes, not a very good time for me but it really pushed Etta’s strength.

Day 1 concluded with a dinner of 1 cup of cooked quinoa, 1 cup of broccoli, and 2 more pieces of spelt bread with 1 tbs of peanut butter spread across them and of course 2 OmegaPlex® caplets taken with dinner.
